Best good schools in Texas to apply to?

I'm planning to apply to both high schools and colleges in Texas and want to know which schools are considered really good. Any tips on institutions with strong STEM programs or great campus life?

Certainly, Texas has quite a range of excellent institutions where you can pursue the next phase of your education. The strongest STEM high schools and colleges in Texas often provide a comprehensive curriculum and substantial resources for scientific research.

Let's talk about high schools first. The School of Science and Engineering in Dallas and the Liberal Arts and Science Academy in Austin are two magnet schools ranked high for their STEM programs. Both of these schools have a diverse student body and offer a variety of AP courses.

For colleges, Rice University is renowned for its STEM programs, with stellar departments in areas like Chemical Engineering and Computer Science. The campus is known for its strong community spirit and vibrant student life, and it's located in Houston, so lots of opportunities for internships and connections in the tech and engineering space.

The University of Texas at Austin has one of the top Computer Science programs in the country, along with highly rated Engineering programs. Campus life here is also lively, with Austin beings a bustling city with a vibrant music and arts scene.

Texas A&M University in College Station is another strong choice, especially known for its programs in Agriculture, Mechanical Engineering, and Geology. A&M is also reputed for its traditions and strong school spirit.

Lastly, don't overlook the University of Houston, which has solid Engineering and Computer Science programs. The city of Houston offers a dynamic urban environment for students to thrive outside of classes.

Do remember, while these are some great choices, the 'right' school depends much on your personal preferences and academic goals. Be sure to look beyond just rankings and research each school’s profile, courses, and campus lifestyle thoroughly to evaluate how well it matches your wants and needs. Good luck!
