What niche programs does Tulane offer?

I'm considering Tulane for college and was wondering about niche programs or hidden gems they have for students with particular interests. Any info on specialized courses or clubs would be great!

Tulane University certainly does offer a wide range of niche programs that cater to a variety of student interests. One standout program is the Tulane Undergraduate Public Health Studies, which is one of the oldest Bachelor of Public Health programs in the country. The program utilizes New Orleans as a living laboratory and offers students a unique hands-on experience in studying public health.

Another unique program is their Altman Program in International Studies & Business, a special four-year program that combines liberal arts and business disciplines with a two-semester study abroad experience. This program is ideal for students seeking a broad-based understanding of international affairs and business.

In terms of clubs, Tulane Campus Programming (TCP) is an organization that hosts a large variety of events and activities for students, such as film screenings, guest speakers, and concerts. Not many universities have a one-stop club for organizing such a range of activities, so TCP definitely distinguishes Tulane from other universities.

Another exciting opportunity at Tulane is their annual NewDay Social Entrepreneurship Challenge. It's a university-wide competition for students who are developing ventures that create social or environmental value.

Lastly, the Newcomb Scholars Program is a selective, interdisciplinary cohort program for women that brings together students from diverse academic pursuits. Scholars engage in seminars, service activities, and educational excursions throughout their undergraduate journey.

Remember that the best way to decide whether Tulane's offerings match your unique interests is to engage with current students and faculty members, visit classes if possible, and do thorough research regarding the specific academic and extracurricular opportunities available.
