Is Flagler College in St. Augustine a good choice for an arts major?

I'm thinking of majoring in the arts and Flagler College in St. Augustine caught my eye. Does anyone know how strong their arts programs are, and if it's a good environment for creative students?

Flagler College in St. Augustine indeed offers a rich array of arts programs, including majors in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, and Theatre Arts, among others. Many students have found the faculty attentive and supportive, with an interest in helping their students succeed.

The college also offers plenty of opportunities for arts students to practice their craft. The Crisp-Ellert Art Museum on campus, for example, frequently exhibits work by students, faculty, and visiting artists, providing a source of inspiration and potential professional opportunity for arts students.

Apart from academics, the city of St. Augustine itself could also potentially contribute to a positive experience as an arts student. Known for its historic architecture and picturesque streets, St. Augustine could serve as an inspiring backdrop for your arts studies. It also has a vibrant arts and culture scene with art galleries, music festivals, and theater performances.

While evaluating if Flagler College would be a good fit for you, consider what aspects of an arts program are most important to you. Is it coursework, faculty expertise, exhibition opportunities, or a strong community of artists? I would encourage reaching out to current students or alumni through the college's official channels to get a first-hand account of the arts programs.

End of the day, the "right" college depends on individual preferences. While Flagler has many positives, I'd advise you to delve into additional research and, if possible, visit the campus to get a feel for the environment. Be sure to check out classes, talk to professors, and meet students in their arts department.
