What's the campus life like at Cornell University?

I'm curious about what day-to-day life is like at Cornell University. How's the social vibe, and are there plenty of activities to get involved in? I'm thinking about adding Cornell to my list, so any insights would be much appreciated!

Cornell University, located in Ithaca, New York, is known for both its rigorous academics and vibrant campus life. Its location in upstate New York ensures a four-season climate and offers an array of outdoor activities for students who enjoy nature. From relaxing hikes along Cayuga Lake to fun-filled winter sports at Greek Peak, the local area has plenty of adventures waiting. The school itself is set in a rural, picturesque location but comes with a bustling, active campus scene.

When it comes to social life, Cornell is home to a very diverse student body, creating an environment with varied interests and pursuits. The university has over 1,000 student organizations, so there's a group for virtually every interest, including academic clubs, performing arts groups, cultural organizations, and athletic teams. Greek life is also present, with around a third of students participating, though it's by no means a requirement to fit in socially.

Cornell also hosts numerous events throughout the year, such as the iconic Dragon Day in the spring, when architecture students build and parade a dragon across campus, and Slope Day, a huge end-of-year concert on Libe Slope.
