What's the vibe at Catholic University of America?

I'm considering applying to Catholic University of America and would like to know more about the campus atmosphere. Is it a welcoming community? How do current students feel about their experience there?

Catholic University of America, or CUA, is often referred to as a tight-knit and welcoming community. As its name suggests, it is a Catholic institution which means faith is a common thread among students which can contribute to the feeling of unity. That said, CUA is welcoming to students regardless of their religious affiliation and you will find a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences on campus.

Academically, CUA is known for fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment. Classes are typically small which allows for one-on-one interaction with professors and collaboration with classmates. The curriculum is very rigorous, but students appreciate the challenge and the preparation it offers for their future careers.

When it comes to campus life, CUA is often considered energetic yet relaxed. There are numerous clubs, organizations, and events to get involved in which keeps the campus lively. While academics are a priority, students also value their time spent participating in extracurricular activities and fostering relationships within the community.

Most students live either on-campus or close by, which makes the social scene very campus-centered. CUA's location in Washington D.C. gives students plenty of opportunities to explore cultural sites, attend events, or even find internships and job opportunities.

However, it is crucial to remember that each student's experience is unique, and the best way to really get a sense of CUA's vibe would be by in-person or virtual assessment, like a campus tour or an online open house. As you continue to explore your college options, best of luck in your journey!
