How challenging is it to get accepted into Kean University?

I'm looking at Kean University and wondering about how tough it is to get in. If anyone's been through the process and can share some insight, that would be super helpful.

Kean University in New Jersey is a public university with less selective admissions. For the past few years, the acceptance rate has generally been around 83%. This means that a substantial majority of those who apply are admitted.

Remember that acceptance rates are just one piece of the process and don't tell you everything about whether you'll be admitted. Your academic profile (particularly your GPA) will be a significant factor in your admissions outcome at Kean. In the most recent classes, most admitted students had GPAs between 2.5 and 3.5.

In terms of standardized testing, Kean is test-optional, meaning you don't have to submit SAT or ACT scores. However, if you have strong test scores, submitting them could strengthen your application. For those who submit scores, the average SAT score is typically in the 990-1170 range and the ACT composite is generally between 17-23.

Beyond academics, Kean looks for students who will be a good fit with the university and its mission. So, involvement in extracurricular activities, community service, and leadership roles can be beneficial.

Hope this helps, and best of luck with your college admissions process!
