Best colleges for nursing programs?

I'm thinking about becoming a nurse, and I'd love to hear about colleges with great nursing programs. Does anyone have recommendations or experiences with schools that have strong nursing programs?

There are quite a few excellent nursing programs to consider! Here are a few with strong reputations and robust curricula:

1. University of Pennsylvania (UPenn): The nursing program at UPenn is consistently rated as one of the best. They provide excellent training for future medical professionals, with an emphasis on underrepresented fields in the nursing profession. They also have a direct-entry BSN/MSN program, which will allow you to earn both degrees in around four years of study.

2. Duke University: Their four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program has a strong clinical focus, with rotations at Duke University Hospital, Duke Raleigh Hospital, and Duke Regional Hospital.

3. Johns Hopkins University: Their nursing program places an emphasis on both the technical and humanities sides of healthcare. Additionally, every Johns Hopkins nursing student has research opportunities within the university sector.

4. University of Washington (UW): Known for their research-oriented curriculum, UW's nursing program provides students with experiential learning opportunities in frontier technologies.

5. University of Michigan (UMich): UMich's School of Nursing offers an innovative and immersive BSN program with early clinical experiences.

Each of these universities offer unique approaches to their nursing programs, but they all offer rigorous academics, cutting-edge research, and practical experience. As you continue your research, I'd encourage you to explore each individual program's website to get a feel for their pedagogical approach, curriculum, faculty, and resources. You should also take into account factors such as location, student culture, financial aid, and how well you feel you might fit into the program and the broader university community.
