The University of Texas at Dallas's (UT Dallas) School of Engineering & Computer Science is considered a strong choice, particularly for the majors you're interested in. The school is known for providing a solid foundation in theory, while also ensuring students have opportunities for practical application.

The Computer Science program ranks in the top 75 nationwide according to U.S. News & World Report's 2023 rankings. This is largely due to the rigorous coursework, the quality of the faculty, and the cutting-edge research opportunities in areas like machine learning, data science, and cybersecurity.

The Electrical Engineering program also boasts of strong academics coupled with research opportunities in areas such as radio frequency design, photonics, and power systems.

In terms of internships, UT Dallas students tend to fare quite well given the university's strategic location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, which is home to numerous tech companies and startups.
