What are the SAT requirements for the University of South Florida?

I'm curious about what SAT scores I need to aim for if I want to apply to the University of South Florida. Are there minimum or recommended scores? Any info about test-optional policies would also be helpful!

The University of South Florida (USF) doesn't have a stated minimum SAT score for admission. However, to give some idea of the scores generally required, the middle 50% SAT scores of accepted students at USF for the 2024-2025 academic year were between 1250 and 1400. This is not an absolute cutoff or guarantee of admission, but it provides some insight into the typical performance of admitted students.

USF is currently test-optional, which means you have the choice to submit SAT scores if you believe they accurately reflect your academic ability and potential. If you choose not to submit test scores, your application will be reviewed based on other aspects like your grades, course rigor, your application essays, etc.

In deciding whether to submit your scores, consider the context of your overall application and where your strengths lay. If you are a strong test taker and your scores are within or above the range outlined above, it may be beneficial to include them. However, if your SAT score is below this range, but your academic record is strong in other aspects, you might choose the test-optional route. Ultimately, you should decide based on what will most accurately reflect your abilities and potential.
