What's the scene like for majors at Boise State?

I'm interested in Boise State, but I don't know much about the majors offered there. Are there any unique programs that attract a lot of students? Anything particularly strong in a certain field like engineering or business?

Boise State University indeed has a diverse selection of majors and is well-respected in several areas. Specifically, Engineering and business programs are particularly strong at this institution.

For engineering, Boise State's College of Engineering is known for offering rigorous programs and puts a strong emphasis on innovative learning, research, and hands-on experience. The Micron School of Materials Science and Engineering, in particular, is notable - it is the only materials science and engineering program in the state of Idaho.

On the business side, Boise State's College of Business and Economics is AACSB-accredited, a distinction achieved by fewer than 5% of business schools worldwide. Their accountancy program is particularly praised, often achieving high pass rates on the CPA exam.

Additionally, the university is also recognized for its health programs. The school of nursing at Boise State has an excellent reputation and is known for its high pass rates on the NCLEX-RN exam.

Other unique programs include a Creative Writing major available in the Department of Theatre, Film, and Creative Writing, and a range of innovative programs in the College of Innovation and Design, including Gaming, Interactive Media, and Mobile Technology.

Remember to review the curriculum for any major you're considering to ensure it aligns with your academic interests and career goals. It may also be useful to reach out to the admissions office or faculty in your potential department if you have specific questions about the major or opportunities in the field after graduation.
