Radiology Technician Programs in Illinois?

I'm interested in becoming a radiology technician and I'm looking for schools in Illinois that offer good programs. Does anyone have suggestions or experience with these types of programs?

Sure, Illinois has several institutions where you can study to become a radiology technician.

Firstly, one of the well-respected programs in this field in Illinois is offered at the College of Dupage. Their Radiography Associate in Applied Science (AAS) program is known for its comprehensive curriculum which combines coursework, lab training, and supervised clinical experiences in various hospitals.

Joliet Junior College also offers a 24-month Radiologic Technology AAS degree program. This program prepares graduates for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification exam.

Truman College, one of the City Colleges of Chicago, offers a Radiography AAS degree with comprehensive clinical experience, making it another good option.

Southern Illinois University in Carbondale has a Radiologic Sciences Bachelor's Program. The program provides a strong foundation in the medical imaging sciences, and due to its broad curriculum, it can offer more career options in the medical imaging field after graduation.

Lastly, Triton College offers a Radiologic Technology AAS degree with clinical rotations in their partner hospitals, providing hands-on experience.

Remember, always make sure to visit the institutions' official websites to get detailed information and validate the programs' accreditations.
