What's the campus vibe like at U of Georgia?

I'm super curious about what life is like on campus at the University of Georgia. Is it lively and fun or more laid-back? Trying to decide if it's a good fit for me, so any input would be great!

The University of Georgia (UGA) is well-known for having a vibrant and dynamic campus atmosphere. There's always something happening, whether it's a football game at Sanford Stadium, a guest lecture, or a club fair. One could describe it as a lively and spirited community.

UGA is in the college town of Athens, which offers a great balance of small-town charm and big-city amenities. The town is packed with unique shops, art galleries, diverse restaurants, and numerous music venues, creating a lively off-campus experience too.

UGA also has a rich Greek life with over 60 fraternity and sorority groups. If you’re into sports, you can be part of the "Bulldog Nation"—their school spirit and sports culture are extremely strong. However, if you're less about football Saturdays and more into academics and quiet nights in, UGA has a place for you, too, with its Honors program and a new living-learning residential community.

UGA’s campus is also marked by a strong sense of service, with many different service organizations and volunteer opportunities available.

However, like any large school, stereotype doesn't define everyone. With over 41,600 students, it's quite diverse, and you'll find all sorts of social scenes. Thus, whether you want a lively college experience or a somewhat laid-back one, UGA can accommodate both.
