SDSU admissions deadline: When should I apply?

I'm planning to apply to San Diego State University and want to make sure I don't miss the deadlines. Does anyone know when the application deadline typically is? Also, any tips on applying to SDSU would be awesome.

For San Diego State University (SDSU), the application period is from October 1st to December 2nd, like other Cal State colleges. The application becomes available on the California State University application portal on October 1st. You have two full months to submit your application, but it's a good idea to apply as early as possible.

As for tips on the application:

First, remember that SDSU, along with all other CSU schools, doesn't require an essay or letters of recommendation for most applicants. They mainly look at a student's grades and test scores (if they decide to submit them) to make their decision.

Second, CSU schools have a minimum GPA requirement of 2.5 for California residents and 3.0 for non-residents, but typically admitted students have higher GPAs.

Lastly, remember to thoroughly fill out the 'Educational Experiences' section. Even if they don't factor into your GPA, list all courses — especially dual-enrollment, honors, and AP classes, to show the rigor of your high school coursework.

Remember, if you have any questions or run into snags during the application process, it's a good idea to connect with the SDSU Admissions office. They can provide guidance and help you navigate the application. Good luck!
