Trinity International University in Illinois: Worth considering?

I came across Trinity International University in Illinois and was wondering if it's a good fit for someone looking for a smaller, faith-based college experience. Any feedback on academic programs or campus life there?

Absolutely, Trinity International University (TIU) offers a close-knit community as it enrolls roughly 2,700 students, making it a suitable choice if you're seeking a smaller, more personalized college experience. It's deeply rooted in Christian ideals and principles, so you can expect a strong faith-based approach to education. One unique aspect of TIU is the mandatory chapel. All undergraduate students are required to attend chapel services, fostering a sense of community around shared faith.

In terms of academic programs, they offer a wide range of majors, but they're particularly recognized for programs in Religious Studies, Elementary Education, and Business. Something to note is the Divinity School for post-grad studies, which entices many aspiring ministers and religious educators.

Looking at student life, there are over 20 clubs and organizations, many of which are faith-oriented, such as prayer groups and mission trip organizations. You also have the opportunity to participate in athletics; the school competes in Division I NAIA for many sports, which can be a draw for some students.

As always, the best way to determine if a college is the right fit for you is to visit the campus if possible. You can also try contacting current students or alumni to gain a personal perspective. Remember to ensure it aligns with your academic goals and social preferences. The deciding factor should always be what feels right to you and what aligns with your aspirations, both academic and personal.
