Opinions on online programs at Troy State?

I'm considering enrolling in one of Troy State's online programs, but want to make sure it's a good choice. Has anyone taken online courses through Troy State, and how was your experience in terms of support and flexibility?

It's important when selecting an online program to consider elements such as flexibility, technical support, structure of the course offerings, and the resources available for remote students.

Troy State, also known as Troy University, has a robust online learning format, with 24/7 technical and academic support, which many students appreciate. Their faculty are reportedly approachable and highly responsive to email communication, which makes it easier to get feedback and answers to questions in a timely way.

The flexibility is one of the key appeals of their online programs. They offer nine-week terms and you have the flexibility to complete your coursework at your own pace, which can work well for those balancing other work and/or family responsibilities.

However, it's worth noting that, like with any online program, you'll need to be self-disciplined and organized. Success in online learning requires active participation, even without the typical structure and schedule of in-person classes.

Many students find the online tools and systems used by Troy University to be user-friendly and easy to navigate. This includes their Canvas learning platform, where you can access lectures, discussions, assignments, and exams.

Troy's online programs are also made more appealing by the fact that the university is a regionally accredited institution. That means credits earned there are generally respected and can be transferred to other regionally accredited institutions. Nevertheless, if you have specific career goals or plan to pursue further education after this, I’d advise you to conduct a bit of research or reach out to prospective employers or programs to ensure a degree from Troy will meet your needs.

Just remember that everyone’s online learning experience can vary greatly, so it's important to think about what your personal needs and learning preferences are when deciding if their online format is right for you.
