Which schools offer strong nutrition majors?

I'm really interested in studying nutrition in college and was wondering which schools have strong nutrition programs. Are there any universities known for their nutrition majors? Would love to hear about your experiences or recommendations.

Certainly, there are a number of universities that are renowned for their strong nutrition programs. Here are a few to consider:

- Cornell University offers a rigorous program through its Division of Nutritional Sciences. Here, students can focus on community nutrition, international nutrition, molecular nutrition, and clinical nutrition among other specializations.

- Boston University offers a BS in Nutritional Science and also allows students to combine that with a Master's in Dietetics. Their nutrition programs are very research-based, which can be great if you're interested in a scientific approach.

- University of California, Berkeley, also offers an excellent nutritional science program with different emphasis options like dietetics or toxicology.

- New York University offers a Nutrition and Dietetics program that includes plenty of opportunities for internships and fieldwork experience.

Additionally, Tufts University’s Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy is noteworthy. Even though it doesn’t offer an undergraduate nutrition major, it does offer a minor in Food Systems and Nutrition. This minor could be a good complement to a major in a related field.

Each program has its own strengths and you should think about what specifically you are interested in (e.g., dietetics, public health, research) when choosing a program. You might also want to consider internship or job placement opportunities, faculty, class size, and opportunities for research. Remember, the best program for you isn't always going to be the most prestigious one; it's ultimately about finding the best fit for your own educational and career goals. Good luck with your search!
