I'm starting to look for jobs that only require a high school education. I'm not sure which fields might have opportunities for someone like me. If you've been down this path, could you share your insights on good options?

There's a wide range of jobs you can go into with just a high school education, even ones that pay well and provide good job stability. Here are a few fields and specific jobs you might consider:

1. Trade Skills: Jobs in this area can be very stable and provide substantial income. These include roles like electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and carpenters. To get started, you'll often need to join an apprenticeship program.

2. Emergency Services: You could become a police officer, firefighter, or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). These jobs often require additional training and certification, but typically, you do not need a degree beyond a high school diploma.

3. Sales: Retail salesperson, sales representative, or insurance agent are jobs that typically require only a high school diploma. These jobs often provide on-the-job training and can offer advancement opportunities. If you're good at building relationships and understanding customer needs, a sales role could be a good fit.

4. Administrative Services: Roles like administrative assistant, medical secretary, or office clerk can provide stable income and opportunities for promotion.

5. Transportation: Jobs such as a truck driver, bus driver, or delivery driver can be lucrative with just a high school education.

6. Food Industry: Chefs, baking, and catering can provide a creative outlet and potential income, especially if you eventually open your own business.

7. Technology: While many tech jobs may require a degree, there are some roles like computer technician, web developer, or coder that can be learned through certification programs or self-study.

Keep in mind that while these jobs might not require a college degree, they may still require additional training or certification. Depending on your interests and skills, there might be a good fit for you in one of these or another field. Start exploring and see what attracts your interest!
