Best criminal justice colleges in Florida?

I'm interested in studying criminal justice and want to stay in Florida for college. Can anyone recommend some of the best schools with strong programs in criminal justice in the state?

Florida State University (FSU) in Tallahassee has a top-notch program that's well-respected nationwide. The College of Criminology and Criminal Justice at FSU is recognized for its innovative research and is dedicated to producing professionals who are well-equipped to navigate the justice system.

The University of Central Florida (UCF) also hosts a strong criminal justice program. UCF's Criminal Justice BS and MS degrees are comprehensive, providing students with a solid understanding of the social, legal, and theoretical aspects of criminal justice. Plus, UCF has a specific major called Legal Studies, if you're at all interested in the legal side.

Florida International University (FIU) in Miami is another school with a reputable criminal justice program. The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees in the field, and they have faculty who are leading researchers in their fields.

Lastly, St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens has a dedicated School of Justice that offers both an undergraduate and a graduate program. Students have access to practical experiences, internships, and a unique Justice Living Learning Community.

All these programs would provide strong foundations for a career in criminal justice. It could be beneficial to get in contact with the department at each school to get a better understanding of their programs, such as any specialization tracks, internship opportunities, and post-graduate job placements. It might also be worthwhile to arrange campus visits, if feasible, to get a better sense of the campus cultures and decide which one might be the best fit for you.
