St. John's University, with its main campus in Queens New York City, offers a vibrant and diverse campus life. It's home to over 180 student-led clubs and organizations, covering a wide range of interests from academic to multicultural, service to spiritually focused, and many more. So, there will be plenty of opportunities for you to get involved, meet new people, and explore hobbies or interests.

The university is also part of the Division I Big East conference, meaning there's a significant recreational and sports culture on campus. Whether you're a participant or a fan, sports events can have a considerable influence on the campus atmosphere and provide opportunities for student engagement and school spirit.

The campus itself is a blend of the urban and the suburban: while it’s situated within the global hub of New York City, the campus’s design creates a cloistered feel. This provides students with the best of both worlds - the tranquility and familiarity of a traditional college environment along with access to the urban opportunities that New York City can offer.

One unique aspect of St. John's is its emphasis on service learning. Many students participate in community service projects, both locally and internationally, which can give a distinctive flavor to your university experience.

Finally, like any school, campus life at St. John's will also be impacted by the size and diversity of the student body. With an undergraduate enrollment of around 16,000, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet a wide range of people, and this diversity can contribute to a dynamic campus life.

Do make sure to visit the campus if you can, though! Virtual tours are also available. Seeing the campus in person and chatting with current students can often give you the most accurate representation of what life would be like there.
