High-paying jobs right after high school?

What are some high-paying jobs I can get fresh outta high school? I want to start earning a good salary without going to college. Any ideas or suggestions on where to look would be super helpful!

There are definitely some opportunities for high earnings right out of high school, though it's worth mentioning that these paths often require either technical training, entrepreneurship, or working your way up from entry-level positions. Here are some paths to explore:

1. Skilled Trades: Electricians, carpenters, plumbers, and automobile technicians can all enjoy high salaries with on-the-job training or apprenticeships replacing traditional college education. For example, electricians and plumbers often start their careers with apprenticeships and can earn a median wage of over $50,000 per year. Be sure to look into professional certification requirements in your state.

2. Entrepreneurship: This is a less traditional route, but if you have a good idea and can perform well under risk, starting your own business can be quite lucrative. There are many successful entrepreneurs who didn't attend college and instead focused on building their businesses.

3. Technology: If you have a knack for technology, there are opportunities in tech fields like programming, cybersecurity, and database management, which you could learn through boot camps or self-teaching.

4. Real Estate: Real estate agents can earn a good income, and the field requires a state license rather than a traditional four-year degree.

5. Paramedics and EMTs: For those interested in healthcare, becoming an EMT or paramedic can be a strong choice. This job requires specialized training and certification, but not a college degree.

This isn't to say achieving a high income will be easy — each of these paths demands hard work, dedication, skill building, and often entrepreneurial ingenuity. Before pursuing any of these paths fully, it may be valuable to seek out internships, job shadowing opportunities, or part-time work in these sectors to get a feel for what the daily work and job market will be like. It's about finding a balance between income potential and identifying a field you could feel passionate about.
