Can I apply to Google jobs with just a high school diploma?

I'm about to graduate high school and I'm interested in working at Google. Are there positions available for someone with only a high school diploma, or should I plan on getting more education first?

Google is known for having highly competitive job roles that often require a degree. However, there are some entry-level roles or internships at Google for which a high school diploma might be sufficient. Jobs in certain departments, like facilities or customer support, might not require a degree. Plus, Google continues to embrace the philosophy that non-traditional education can be just as valuable as a college degree, so there are opportunities out there.

On the other hand, if you are thinking of a technical or product-related role, these usually require a degree in computer science or a related field. Overall, while there may be positions available now or in the future for which only a high school diploma is needed, pursuing further education or skills-based training could expand your prospects. For instance, Google offers the "Google Career Certificates" program, a series of courses designed to prepare people for high-growth fields without a degree.

Remember to thoroughly research each role to understand the qualifications needed. Tailoring your skills and experiences to match the job requirements will increase your chances of landing a role. A dedicated approach to continuously improving relevant skills, even without formal education, can go a long way in a company like Google that values skills and potential.
