Top Nursing Schools?

I'm thinking of going into nursing and want to make sure I choose a school with a strong program. What are some of the best nursing schools out there?

There indeed are a variety of great nursing schools around the country. However, remember that "best" can be subjective to each individual, so my suggestion is to consider schools that feel like a good fit for you, as the student experience being a great one can often be more valuable than the school's overall rank.

That being said, some of the most consistently top-ranked nursing schools for undergraduate studies include University of Pennsylvania, Duke University, University of Florida, University of Washington, and Emory University. These schools are highly regarded for their rigorous coursework, well-rounded clinical experiences, and opportunities for research and specialization.

Penn's School of Nursing is known for its emphasis on practice-based learning and offers unique experiences including global health opportunities. Duke University's nursing program is very research-oriented, encouraging students to participate directly in healthcare improvements.

At the University of Florida, students are exposed to a variety of healthcare settings through their clinical placements and can also pursue dual degrees. The University of Washington boasts a high NCLEX (licensure exam) pass rate and offers many opportunities for students to engage in research. Emory University provides an experiential learning environment in a hospital setting from the first semester.

These are all fantastic options but remember to consider size, location, and the culture of the school as well, and make sure it's somewhere you see you can thrive in for four years. While these are some of the top programs, there are plenty of other great institutions across the country, and it's worth exploring programs on a local level, or within your state as well, as many state schools can also have very strong nursing programs.
