Top education colleges in North Carolina?

Hey! Any North Carolinians here? I'm looking at education programs for college and I'm curious about the best schools in North Carolina for education majors. Would love to get some advice or personal experiences!

Hi there! North Carolina is actually home to some pretty strong education programs. Here are a few colleges in the state that boast respected education programs, in no particular order:

1. UNC Chapel Hill: The UNC School of Education offers undergraduate degrees in Human Development and Family Studies and Music Education, as well as a minor in Education. They are particularly reputable in graduate education, as they are ranked 20th nationally for their graduate programs by U.S. News & World Report.

2. North Carolina State University: The NC State College of Education has various concentrations like Elementary Education, Technology Engineering and Design Education, and more. They've received high marks for their graduate programs and their online Master's in Education program.

3. Appalachian State University: The Reich College of Education at App State has a variety of degrees including Middle Grades Education, Special Education and Elementary Education among others. They're known for having a very comprehensive program and for producing exceptional teachers.

4. East Carolina University: The College of Education at ECU offers degrees in Elementary Education, Middle Grades Education, and Special Education. They also have numerous online options for those who prefer to learn remotely or who may need to balance other commitments.

Remember, the "best" college isn't simply about rankings and reputation -- it should also be a great fit for you individually. Consider the size of the school, location, cost, as well as the specific programs and opportunities that each of these schools provides. I hope this helps you in your search!
