Best test optional business colleges in California?

I'm interested in applying to business colleges in California and I heard that many are test-optional now. Could anyone share which California business schools are test-optional and have a strong reputation?

Sure, there are several reputable business programs in California which are currently test-optional.

The University of Southern California's (USC) Marshall School of Business is renowned for its business programs. For the 2024-2025 application cycle, USC remains test-optional, so you can choose not to submit your SAT or ACT scores there.

University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley), which houses the esteemed Haas School of Business, is test-blind, meaning that they do not consider SAT or ACT scores at all in the admissions process. This applies to all of the UC schools, including UCLA, UC Irvine, UC San Diego, and others which also have business programs.

The various California State University (CSU) campuses also have well-regarded business programs and these are also test-blind. Notably, San Diego State University, San Francisco State University, and Cal State Fullerton all offer excellent business programs.

Lastly, Pepperdine University offers a strong business program in a more intimate environment with smaller class sizes. Pepperdine, too, has adopted a test-optional policy for the current application cycle.

Do note that even though these schools are test-optional or test-blind, your other credentials such as GPA, extracurricular activities, essays, and letters of recommendation should be strong to increase your chances of admission.
