Does anyone have info on the best accounting schools in NY?

I'm really interested in studying accounting and was wondering which schools in New York have the best programs. Looking for strong coursework and good internship opportunities. Any recommendations?

New York is home to several excellent accounting programs, many of which are recognized nationally for their rigorous curriculum, experienced faculty, and strong connections to businesses and firms.

New York University (NYU)'s Stern School of Business is one of the top choices, with a reputable Bachelor of Science in Business and Political Economy program offering concentrations in accounting. NYU 's location in Manhattan places its students advantageously for networking and job opportunities in Wall Street firms and beyond.

Baruch College, part of the City University of New York (CUNY) system, has the Zicklin School of Business, which offers a BBA in Accountancy. Zicklin has solid connections in the business industry, which can aid in securing internships and job placements.

Another option is Fordham University's Gabelli School of Business, offering a BS in Public Accounting. Gabelli places heavy emphasis on ethical leadership and socially responsible business models, apart from its strong core curriculum.

Columbia University doesn't offer a specific accounting undergraduate program, but it does provide a concentration in Business Management through the Economics department, which includes accounting courses.

Furthermore, Cornell University's Dyson School in Ithaca, NY, has a well-regarded Applied Economics and Management program with a strong emphasis on accounting. Although a bit further from New York City's financial center, many Cornell graduates gravitate there after graduation, making it a solid option.

Each of these schools offers a strong accounting education and has a history of placing students in meaningful internships. I recommend researching each one to see which is the best fit for you in terms of campus culture, cost, location, academic rigor, and student support services.
