Wake Forest engineering program ranking

I'm looking into engineering programs and trying to find out how Wake Forest's engineering program ranks nationally. If anyone has insights or personal experiences, that'd be super helpful as I consider different colleges.

Wake Forest University's undergraduate engineering program is quite new and only began offering a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in 2017. Since the program is relatively new compared to other universities with long-standing engineering programs, it's not as easy to give a definitive national ranking. Rankings also depend heavily on the specific resource you're looking at.

That being said, the program has a unique approach in that it takes a liberal arts focus to engineering, allowing students to explore a breadth of subjects and how they intersect with engineering. They emphasize hands-on learning and design thinking, with students working on engineering projects from the first day of class. They also prioritize small class sizes and faculty accessibility.

However, remember that rankings are just a single factor to consider when looking at colleges. You should also look into aspects such as the specific courses offered, the faculty, research opportunities, internship possibilities, campus facilities, and the like. Plus, Wake Forest as an institution has a great reputation and resources, so even though it's a newer program, it could provide a great engineering education.

In terms of 'personal experiences', it might help to talk to current students or alumni from the program, either by reaching out directly or through forums or social networks where students are likely to gather.

Keep in mind that it could be seen as an advantage to study in a relatively new program. You might have unique opportunities to shape the program's direction and traditions—something that can be harder in older, more established programs.
