Recommendations for top private schools in Hawaii?

I'm looking into private school options in Hawaii and am curious about which ones are considered the best. What are their standout features or programs? Any information from those who have been through the process would be awesome.

In Hawaii, there are several highly regarded private schools, each with its unique features and programs.

Punahou School, located in Honolulu, is one of the largest single-campus independent schools in the U.S. and is often recognized for its rigorous academics, vast extracurriculars, and excellent college prep. It has outstanding programs across the board, with particularly strong offerings in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), the arts, and athletics. The school's Wo International Center is recognized for its emphasis on global awareness and cultural learning.

Iolani School, another prestigious institution in Honolulu, is known for its extensive STEM program and commitment to providing a comprehensive K-12 education. The campus hosts the state-of-the-art Sullivan Center for Innovation and Leadership, a multi-disciplinary space that encourages creative hands-on learning. It's also home to 'Iolani Sport & Spirit Store, a fully student-run retail learning lab —one of the first of its kind in a K-12 environment.

Kamehameha Schools, with campuses on Oahu, Maui, and Hawaii Island, cater specifically to students of native Hawaiian descent. They offer comprehensive K-12 education with a strong focus on Hawaiian language and culture. They also have excellent programs in the arts and music, and their graduates are known for academic success in top mainland universities as well as in Hawaii.

Mid-Pacific Institute, located in Manoa, has standout programs in the visual and performing arts, including an immersive digital media program with state-of-the-art resources. Its focus on project-based, collaborative learning prepares students well for college and beyond.

Each of these schools has a very selective admissions process, but they also offer substantial financial aid packages. I recommend researching each school thoroughly to identify which might be the best fit for your preferences and ambitions.
