What are some top architecture programs in Florida?

I'm interested in studying architecture and I'm thinking about staying in Florida for college. Can anyone recommend top architecture programs in the state? I'd love advice on which schools have the best reputation or resources for architecture.

In Florida, the University of Florida, Florida International University, and the University of Miami are generally considered to have strong architecture programs.

The University of Florida (UF) has a College of Design, Construction, and Planning that offers a Bachelor of Design (BDes) in Architecture where students can learn about architectural design, history, theory, building technology, and practice. Their Francisco Bilbao Stone Study Collection is a unique research asset, with an assortment of diverse stone samples that can be a fascinating resource for architecture students.

Florida International University (FIU) provides a five-year professional degree program, leading to the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch). The School of Architecture at FIU houses the only public architecture program in Miami and boasts about its Climate-Responsive design that emphasizes the relationship between architectural design and environmental contexts, which is critical given Florida's climate.

The University of Miami has the School of Architecture (SoA) which provides five-year programs culminating in the Bachelor of Architecture degree. They place a strong emphasis on building and site design, focusing on sustainability and resilience to address the impact of a rapidly changing climate.

All these universities have strong faculty, comprehensive curricula, and opportunities for research and internships. Check out their course offerings, faculty profiles, and the work done by current students to see which one aligns best with your interests in architecture. Don't forget to consider other aspects beyond academics like campus culture, cost, location, size, etc., when making your decision.

Remember to check the admission requirements of each program as they can be quite competitive and may require a portfolio or specific coursework during high school.
