What's the campus life like at Ball State University?

I'm thinking about applying to Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Can anyone share what the campus life and culture are like? I'm curious about student organizations, campus events, and overall vibe.

Ball State University, indeed, offers a vibrant campus life that caters to a wide range of interests. The university hosts more than 400 clubs and organizations that range from academic and professional groups to cultural organizations and service clubs. So, whether you're interested in Model UN, theater, or intramural sports, there's likely a group for you. Student involvement is highly encouraged, which contributes to a sense of community on campus.

The university puts on plenty of events throughout the year as well. There's the popular Homecoming Week, which includes Cardinal Night Live, a spoof on Saturday Night Live, Bed Race, and Air Jam, a lip sync competition. Furthermore, there's Late Nite programming every Saturday, where students can attend a variety of performances, enjoy free food, and participate in fun activities.

As for the overall vibe, Ball State University is known for its friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Students often say that one of the best things about Ball State is the feeling of belonging and the tight-knit community.

Academically, it has strong programs in Architecture, Telecommunications, and Education, amongst others. The campus itself is sizable but walkable, with vast green spaces and a mix of architectural styles. The Teachers College building and the George and Frances Ball Intercultural Center stand out as particularly nice facilities.

Please note that this is a broad overview and everyone's experience can vary. If possible, you might want to consider making a visit to the campus to get a firsthand feel of the university's culture.
