Boston is home to a number of exceptional schools known for their engineering programs.

1. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT): As one of the top engineering schools worldwide, MIT offers an immense variety of engineering majors and concentrations including but not limited to AeroAstro, Chemical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering & Computer Science.

2. Harvard University: While known for its liberal arts and sciences programs, Harvard's John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) is on the rise. It offers undergraduate programs in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Science and Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, to name a few.

3. Boston University: BU's College of Engineering is strong in several areas including Biomedical, Electrical, Computer, and Mechanical engineering. The school emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, and many students participate in research projects.

4. Northeastern University: Known for its strong co-op programs, which allow students to integrate classroom study with professional experience, Northeastern’s College of Engineering offers a large variety of engineering disciplines, including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, and Chemical engineering.

5. Tufts University: A bit outside Boston, but Tufts School of Engineering offers a comprehensive engineering program with a liberal arts approach. They have traditional fields of study such as Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering, as well as unique ones like Human Factors Engineering.

Remember, when considering these schools for engineering, look beyond rankings. Consider other factors like the curriculum, opportunities for research or internships, faculty, the school's alumni network in the engineering field, and how these align with your career goals and interests.
