Does high school leadership experience really help in getting a job?

I've been taking on leadership roles in my clubs and volunteering but I'm not sure how much this actually helps when applying for jobs as a high schooler. Does it really matter to employers or should I focus on something else?

True, not all first jobs out of high school require a strong leadership background.
