Hi everyone! I'm searching for some leadership programs specifically for high school students, preferably in the summer. I think they'd be a great way to develop my leadership skills. Any recommendations on reputable programs to look into?

Hello! It's a fantastic idea to be considering leadership programs for skill development. I have a few recommendations for reputable summer programs that focus on leadership for high school students. Keep in mind that some programs may have application deadlines, so be sure to check those while browsing. You can also find more programs in this list: https://blog.collegevine.com/high-school-leadership-summer-programs

1. National Student Leadership Conference (NSLC): The NSLC offers various summer programs across the United States. They cover a range of topics, including business, politics, STEM, theater, and law, and emphasize leadership development in each field.

2. Global Youth Leadership Academy (GYLA): GYLA's focus is on global citizenship and exploring international issues. Students learn to collaborate, build empathy, and tackle meaningful projects towards a better world. GYLA offers both in-person and online sessions for high school students.

3. iD Tech Camps: While primarily focused on technology, iD Tech also offers a unique Tech Exec Leadership Academy, which combines tech skills with personal leadership development. Participants learn to lead teams, develop business strategies, and gain an entrepreneurial mindset.

4. Summer Discovery: With its Business & Entrepreneurship Institute, Summer Discovery helps high school students explore various aspects of the business world in a dynamic, immersive environment. Participants will practice teamwork and enhance their communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

5. National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF): NYLF offers area-specific programs in fields such as medicine, engineering, film, and other areas, integrated with leadership training. Students get hands-on experience, networking opportunities, and develop their leadership potential.

These are just a few options, and there are many more out there – both local and national. You can also consider leadership positions within school clubs, teams, or volunteer organizations in your area. These are more likely to be impactful on your application compared to paid summer programs.

Remember to choose a program that aligns with your interests and goals, and don't hesitate to reach out to the programs for more information. Best of luck in your search!
