Top Nursing Colleges on the West Coast?

I'm deciding between staying on the West Coast or moving for college. Can anyone point me towards the best nursing programs on the West Coast? I'm looking for schools with great clinical partnerships and active student organizations.

Great choice pursuing Nursing! The West Coast indeed has a myriad of fantastic programs for those interested in this field. Finding the 'best' nursing program can be very individual, based on what you're looking for in a school and your career aspirations, but here are a few suggestions:

1. University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA): The School of Nursing at UCLA offers a comprehensive program with a wide variety of enrichment opportunities. Its proximity to healthcare facilities for clinical rotations and strong networking opportunities make it an excellent choice.

2. University of Washington, Seattle (UW): The UW School of Nursing consistently ranks high nationally. Its partnerships with the broad spectrum of healthcare facilities in Seattle represent a wide variety of patient care experiences.

3. Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU): Its School of Nursing is renowned for its research and is partnered with many top medical centers in the Portland area.

4. University of California, San Francisco (UCSF): Another powerhouse, UCSF, is globally recognized for the strength of its healthcare and nursing graduate programs. Its School of Nursing partners with healthcare organizations for clinical rotations. Just be aware UCSF doesn't offer undergraduate degrees, but it could still be a good option to keep in the back of your mind if you think you might pursue additional studies later on.

Bear in mind that top nursing programs tend to be highly competitive, so academic excellent and extracurricular experiences connected with healthcare (like volunteering at a local hospital or participating in health-focused clubs) can be beneficial. Good luck with your applications!
