Where to study language arts in college?

I'm passionate about language arts and trying to find out which colleges offer the best programs for this major. Any recs for schools with strong language arts departments?

Sure, there are quite a few colleges renowned for their strong language arts programs.

Firstly, the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) is well known for its strong programs in English and comparative literature as part of its renowned liberal arts curriculum. UPenn’s programs are distinguished by their focus on critical thinking and analytical writing, which students utilize in various literary studies.

Over at Stanford University, the English Department has a stellar reputation. Stanford provides rigorous training in critical analysis and interpretation of literary texts and works, certainly a great place to further develop your passion for language arts.

Additionally, Columbia University is home to a robust English and Comparative Literature department steeped in a lengthy history, making it one of the premier programs in the nation. Its curriculum is distinguished by the famed Literature Humanities course, a foundational part of the Columbia Core Curriculum.

Lastly, the University of Michigan has a highly rated English department that is particularly known for its programs in creative writing and literature. It is an excellent choice for students interested in these areas within the broader field of language arts.

I'd recommend exploring these universities and their course offerings further to see which might be a perfect fit for your passion!
