Animal biology has always been my passion, and I want to study it in college. What are some of the best colleges for pursuing this field, especially those with great research facilities and passionate professors?

Some universities known for their excellent Animal Biology programs are:

1. University of California, Davis (UCD): UCD is renowned for its College of Biological Sciences, where you may study the major of Animal Biology. This program allows students to concentrate in areas of interest such as behavior, ecology, or physiology. Additionally, the university is equipped with outstanding research facilities where many students actively perform hands-on research alongside distinguished professors.

2. Cornell University: Cornell is home to a top-tier animal science program. Moreover, Ithaca, where Cornell is located, offers a unique study environment for animal biology due to its rich natural surroundings. The university also has the Cornell Veterinary Biobank, a resource for researchers using biospecimens and data in their studies.

3. University of Florida (UF): UF has an excellent Animal Science degree within its College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. With a strong emphasis on research, UF gives students ample opportunities to work in labs and participate in fieldwork.

4. University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC): UIUC offers a rigorous Animal Sciences program. Its faculty members are keen on mentoring students in their research projects, providing valuable research experiences even for undergraduate students.

Remember, it's also important to consider each program's curriculum and see how well it matches your specific interests within Animal Biology. Additionally, location can play a role depending on your interests (i.e., studying marine animals would benefit from a coastal location). Don't hesitate to reach out to current students or professors to gain a better understanding of each program's unique strengths!
