Best options for nursing schools in Missouri?

I'm hoping to find some of the best nursing schools in Missouri as I plan my applications. Does anyone have recommendations for colleges with great reputations or solid nursing programs in the state? Thanks in advance!

There are several universities and colleges in Missouri with solid nursing programs and they each have their own unique strengths.

The University of Missouri in Columbia (often referred to as Mizzou) is one option. It has a robust nursing program with rigorous coursework and clinical experience. Its Sinclair School of Nursing offers BSN, MSN, DNP, and PhD programs in nursing.

Saint Louis University is another great institution to consider. The school's nursing programs are nationally recognized, and they offer a dynamic curriculum that combines both theory and practice, with opportunities for research and community service.

Another option is the Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College located in St. Louis. This school specializes solely in nursing education and has modern simulation labs for practical experiences. They offer a BSN program, an MSN program, a DNP program, and certificate programs for advanced nursing practice specialties.

Finally, there's Maryville University, also in St. Louis, which offers online nursing programs in addition to traditional on-campus programs. Their setup could offer you schedule flexibility if needed.

Regardless of the college or university you choose, you would do well to ensure that the nursing program is accredited by organizations such as the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Accreditation ensures the program meets high standards of quality and rigor.

Remember, the best nursing school for you will depend on your specific goals, needs, and circumstances, so it might be useful for you to consider factors such as hands-on clinical experience, student support services, and financial aid offerings when making your decision.
