Best places to study art in college?

I'm planning my future college path and art is my passion. What are the best colleges, generally speaking, for someone wanting to study art? I've already looked into a few, but I want to explore more options.

There are plenty of excellent university programs in the US that offer opportunities for budding artists. Here are a select few that come highly recommended:

1. Rhode Island School of Design (RISD): Known as one of the most prestigious art schools in the country, the Rhode Island School of Design provides a comprehensive arts education in a variety of disciplines.

2. University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA): UCLA's School of Arts and Architecture offers strong programs in painting, sculpture, photography, ceramic and new media art.

3. Yale University: Yale's School of Art offers an incredible fine arts program, and the university's vast resources also allow for incredible interdisciplinary opportunities.

4. School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC): Catering primarily to fine arts students, SAIC offers an undergraduate program that spans a broad range of artistic disciplines.

5. New York University (NYU): NYU's Tisch School of the Arts is renowned for its programs in performance, cinema, and emerging media arts.

6. Pratt Institute: Brooklyn-based Pratt Institute offers programs in art and design, architecture, and liberal arts.

7. Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA): Known for being one of the oldest art colleges in the country, MICA offers both multidisciplinary and discipline-specific programs.

These schools represent a fraction of the excellent art programs available across the country. I recommend looking at the curriculum, faculty, facilities, and, importantly, the alumni of these programs to get a sense of whether or not they'd be a good fit for your educational aspirations. Also consider whether you want a school oriented solely around art, like SAIC or RISD, or a more broadly focused university like UCLA or Yale that also has a strong art program.
