Best College for Computer Programming?

I'm really interested in pursuing computer programming in college and want to find the best school for it. I've heard USC is good, but are there other colleges I should consider? Any recommendations based on programs or resources would be awesome.

Absolutely, besides USC, there are several schools renowned for their computer programming programs.

One prominent example is the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), known for fostering innovation and technical prowess. The introduction to programming class at MIT is famously demanding yet highly revered.

Stanford University is another great institution for computer programming. Stanford is in the heart of Silicon Valley and offers various resources, including research opportunities, and connections to tech companies and startups.

The University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) has one of the top computer science programs in the world. Its proximity to Silicon Valley also provides students with networking advantages.

Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh also boasts a strong computer science program. It's particularly well-known for its competitive internship and co-op programs that allow students to gain hands-on experience and showcase their skills.

Additionally, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) has a strong reputation in this field. Many successful technology entrepreneurs and computer scientists have graduated from here too.

Don't forget to consider factors like scholarship opportunities, location, class sizes, and the school's overall atmosphere alongside the strength of the computer programming department when making your decision. Each of these schools will provide a top-notch education in this field, so you can't really go wrong with any of them.
