Most Multicultural University in Canada

For those familiar with Canadian colleges, which university is considered the most multicultural? I'm looking for a diverse environment to meet people from different backgrounds.

In terms of a rich multicultural experience, the University of Toronto stands out among Canadian universities. As one of the largest universities in Canada, it has a diverse student body with many international students hailing from over 150 countries. The UofT strives to cater to international and domestic students from various ethnic backgrounds and provide an inclusive campus environment.

Another notable mention is McGill University in Montreal, which also has a vibrant multicultural environment. Despite being located in Quebec, which is predominantly French-speaking, the instruction language at McGill is primarily in English, attracting a sizable international student population.

Similarly, the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, known for its diverse population, could be a great fit. Vancouver is one of the most ethnically diverse cities in Canada, and that diversity spills over into UBC's campus.

Toronto Metropolitan University in downtown Toronto is known for its commitment to multiculturalism and inclusivity. It's located in a major city already celebrated for its multiculturalism.

That being said, Canadian universities overall have made efforts to ensure diversity, inclusivity, and equal representation of all backgrounds in their student and staff bodies, so there might be more options that fit your criteria. I would also recommend considering the specific programs and courses that interest you, in addition to the school's cultural environment.
