Which universities have the most veterans?

I'm a veteran looking to attend college and would love to connect with others who have similar backgrounds. Does anyone know which universities have the highest number of veterans enrolled and what the community is like?

Sure, there are quite a few universities across the U.S. known for having a large number of veterans.

Take Arizona State University (ASU) as an example. It's typically recognized for its high veteran population and comes with a dedicated military-affiliated resource center, called the 'Pat Tillman Veterans Center,' which aims to support veteran students. It offers a variety of resources to help veterans transition into academic life. ASU was recognized as a 'Military Friendly School' for its commitment to the military and veteran community.

In a similar vein, the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC), which offers a large number of online degrees, is also well-regarded for its efforts dedicated to military and veteran students. They provide numerous military scholarships, tuition assistance, and have an active duty servicemembers and veteran's assistance department dedicated to address any specific concerns.

Another example is the University of Southern California (USC). It is host to the USC Marshall School of Business, which runs the Master of Business for Veterans program specifically designed for military veterans, active duty, and reserve personnel.

Texas A&M University is also known for its strong military roots and many veteran students. The school is home to a large 'Corps of Cadets,' a student military organization, and offers services tailored to veterans, such as the Veteran Resource & Support Center, which provides a range of programs and facilities dedicated to supporting veterans and their families.

Overall, the community at these universities is generally quite supportive and understanding of veterans' unique experiences and perspectives. Veteran networks and mentorship programs are usually in place to ensure you feel connected and supported throughout your academic journey.
