Exploring writing jobs after high school graduation

I'm graduating soon and have a passion for writing. What kind of entry-level writing jobs are available for someone with just a high school diploma? Also, are there opportunities that don't require a degree immediately?

There are indeed several writing-focused jobs that you could consider right out of high school:

1. Content Writing: Many businesses require writers to create content for their websites, blogs, social media posts, newsletters, and other marketing materials. This could range from writing articles and blog posts to creating product descriptions or social media content.

2. Freelance Writing: There are many online platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, and Freelancer where you can find freelance writing gigs. This could include anything from writing articles and blog posts to more specialized writing such as technical or grant writing.

3. Copywriting: Businesses and advertising agencies often need copywriters to craft persuasive messages to help sell products or services. Your duties might include writing ads, promotional materials, or other forms of marketing communications.

4. Ghostwriting: Some writers prefer to remain in the background and take on ghostwriting gigs. This usually involves writing content that will be published under someone else's name.

5. Journalism: While many traditional journalism roles might require a degree, there are some entry-level opportunities such as a junior reporter or news assistant at a local newspaper or online news outlet.
