What jobs can you get right out of high school?

I'm wondering about job opportunities for when I finish high school. Are there specific careers or positions that hire high school graduates without needing college degrees?

There are indeed numerous career paths and job opportunities that don't require a college degree and often hire right out of high school. Here are a few examples:

1. Retail Positions: While it can be a stepping stone to management positions, retail also offers an array of specialized roles, like visual merchandising, personal shopping, and even buying.

2. Food Service Industry: Roles can range from line cooks, baristas, servers, to even managerial spots which don't always require a degree.

3. Real Estate: You could consider training to become a real estate agent. It doesn't require a college degree, but it does require passing an exam and obtaining a license.

4. Customer Service: Companies in various industries have positions in customer service, ranging from help desk reps, sales associates to call center reps.

5. Skilled Trades: These jobs often require training but not a college degree. Examples include electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians.

6. Military: Enlisting in the U.S. Armed Forces right out of high school is another option that has different paths, including apprenticeships, educational benefits, and eventual civilian career transitions.

7. Office Clerk: Many businesses need general office clerks and administrative assistants, who manage files, answer phones, and support other staff.

8. Personal Care Aides: In the healthcare field, personal care aides or home health aides assist clients in their homes with daily tasks. While not requiring a degree, this position often requires specific training which varies by state.

In general, having a willingness to learn, a good work ethic, and polished soft skills like communication and teamwork can be instrumental in landing and succeeding in these jobs.
