Can I work a stay-at-home job with just my high school diploma?

I've been thinking about finding a stay-at-home job after high school. Does anyone know what kinds of remote jobs are available for someone with only a high school diploma? I'd love some pointers or resources to explore!

Certainly, there are a number of stay-at-home job options that don’t require more than a high school diploma. While many remote positions do require a bachelor's degree or extensive experience, there are plenty of opportunities which are more focused on skills than formal education.

Customer service roles often fall under this category. Many companies hire remote customer service representatives to handle inquiries on the phone, via email, or through a live chat feature on their website. These roles typically require strong communication skills and a knack for solving problems, but don't usually require a degree.

Data entry is another option that doesn't always require a degree. These positions involve inputting data into a system, which can often be done from home. Attention to detail and basic computer skills are necessities for this type of job.

An additional option is online sales, using platforms like Etsy or eBay to run a small business from home. With these jobs, your income might not be as predictable, and it can require an initial investment to purchase products, but once you’re established you can make a decent profit.

Keep in mind that, although these jobs don’t require a degree, they will likely have other requirements you need to meet, such as certain skills or experiences. You should also look out for scams when searching for work-from-home opportunities. Legitimate jobs should never require you to pay money upfront or provide detailed personal information such as your social security number during the application process.

Even with a high school diploma, don't discount the importance of continuing to build your skills and knowledge. Increasing your skill set can open up even more job opportunities down the line. This could mean earning a certification in your field of interest, taking online courses, or even just teaching yourself a useful software or platform. There are numerous online platforms that offer free resources and courses where you can learn and build on your skills.
