Curious about becoming a vocational teacher

I'm thinking about becoming a vocational teacher after high school. Can anyone share what the job responsibilities are like and the qualifications needed? Is it a good career choice?

In terms of job responsibilities, the tasks and daily schedule of a vocational teacher tend to be quite diverse. The primary responsibility is, of course, to teach students the necessary skills needed for a particular vocation. This can involve planning lessons, delivering lectures, demonstrating procedures, and evaluating student performance. Additionally, they may also be responsible for maintaining equipment used in teaching, advising students about career options, coordinating internships, and staying updated with the latest industry trends and developments.

As for qualifications, most vocational teachers have significant work experience in their respective fields. This hands-on experience is crucial because it enables them to provide real-world insights. Typically, vocational teachers need at least a bachelor's degree, but the degree field varies depending upon what subject you intend to teach.
