Recommendations for colleges in SC for studying computer science?

I'm thinking about applying to colleges in South Carolina and I want to focus on computer science. Does anyone know which SC schools have the best computer science programs?

In South Carolina, the University of South Carolina (USC) and Clemson University are well-regarded for their Computer Science programs.

USC's Department of Computer Science and Engineering allows students to specialize in various areas such as software engineering, databases, and cybersecurity. They also encourage research as early as your sophomore year.

On the other hand, Clemson University offers a strong Computer Science program that provides plenty of hands-on learning experiences and focuses on areas like AI, data science, and software systems. They have multiple labs and research centers that you as an undergraduate can participate in.

However, don't forget that the "best" program is subjective and heavily depends on what exactly you're looking for in a Computer Science program. Some students may prefer a theory-heavy approach, while others might value a more applied, hands-on learning approach. Apply to both schools, visit if possible, speak with current students and faculty, and see which one aligns more closely with your academic goals and learning preference.
