Best small colleges for math and science?

I've always been into both math and science, and I'm looking for a smaller college that's strong in both areas. Does anyone know of any good small colleges that offer great programs in these fields? I'd appreciate your insights!

There are quite a few smaller colleges known for their strength in math and science. Below are a few you might consider:

1. Harvey Mudd College: A standout among small, technical schools. It's a member of the Claremont Colleges consortium, meaning students can also take courses at its larger parent institution, Claremont McKenna. Harvey Mudd features an unparalleled "Common Core" curriculum that will expose you to a breadth of math and science disciplines.

2. Reed College: Known for its strong program in the natural sciences, Reed is also noted for its emphasis on undergraduate research, meaning you'll get hands-on experience early.

3. Swarthmore College: Not only does Swarthmore have strong math and science programs, it's part of the Quaker consortium, which gives students the ability to take classes at UPenn, providing more resources.

4. Amherst College: This liberal arts school, is part of the Five College Consortium, and offers a solid math and science curriculum. It also has a great ratio of faculty to students.

5. Bowdoin College: Located in Maine, this institution offers a great undergraduate focus with small class sizes, which is especially beneficial in math and science courses.

These schools all have strong reputations in math and science, and because they're smaller, they offer small class sizes and more opportunities for one-on-one interaction with professors. The consoritia these colleges are a part of also provide more resources and course options. Remember, finding the right college for you goes beyond academic programming; consider location, extracurricular activities, financial aid, and campus culture as well.
