Are there good online colleges for engineering?

I'm considering online options for studying engineering due to flexibility reasons. Does anyone know of reputable online colleges that offer strong engineering programs? I want to make sure I'm getting a quality education.

Yes, you do have several online options for pursuing an engineering degree from reputable establishments. Keep in mind, however, that some engineering fields may prove more suitable for online study than others due to the nature and amount of hands-on learning required.

Arizona State University (ASU) is a great example of a reputable institution that offers multiple online Engineering Bachelor's programs. They have Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management, and Software Engineering among others. It's also worth noting that ASU's programs hold ABET accreditation, which is key when selecting an engineering program as it guarantees the program meets certain standards.

Northeastern University offers a Master's in Engineering Management online, which is ideal for those looking to fuse their engineering background with business and leadership skills.

Purdue University, another prestigious institution, provides an online Master's in Engineering Technology. This program is designed for working professionals looking to advance their career or seeking leadership roles in the technological workforce.

Additionally, Columbia University offers online Master's degrees in various engineering disciplines through its Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science.

Just remember, online programs do offer flexibility, yet they still require commitment, self-discipline, and dedication. Also, the hands-on, practical aspect of engineering studies could be minimal in an online setting compared to traditional settings. Always look at course descriptions, ask questions about lab requirements, and see how these are executed in an online environment. Good luck with your studies!
