Top computer science colleges in NYC?

I'm thinking about studying computer science and would love to be in New York City. Can anyone suggest which colleges are known for having great computer science programs there? Mostly curious about the opportunities and resources available.

New York City is a great place for studying Computer Science (CS), and you'll find a few renowned institutions offering exceptional programs. Firstly, there's New York University (NYU) and its Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences. NYU has a strong network in tech industries, offers state-of-the-art facilities for CS students, and has faculty known for their research contributions.

Next is Columbia University's Computer Science department, which is part of the renowned Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science. Columbia pays substantial attention to both the theoretical and practical aspects of CS, and students are able to take advantage of the university's connections to industries and startups in the city.

The City University of New York (CUNY) network also offers several good CS programs, such as at Hunter College and City College. While the CS programs at these schools might not be as prestigious as those at NYU or Columbia, they still offer a solid CS education and are more affordable.

Lastly, Cornell University has a tech-specific campus, Cornell Tech, on Roosevelt Island in NYC. While not focused solely on computer science, the campus offers a variety of tech-oriented master's programs, including a Master’s in Computer Science, which might be of interest.

Remember to visit the departmental websites of these universities to get more insights into their curriculum, faculty, research opportunities, partnerships with tech firms, and post-graduation job placement. It's always best to choose based on what aligns most with your personal career goals and interests.
