Animal science schools in New Jersey?

I'm from New Jersey and considering staying in-state for college. Does anyone have recommendations for the best colleges offering animal science programs in NJ?

Certainly, several colleges in New Jersey offer robust animal science programs.

Firstly, Rutgers University–New Brunswick offers a very comprehensive program. Their Department of Animal Sciences offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees in the field. In addition to theoretical knowledge, Rutgers ensures you gain hands-on experience at the university's farm where you will work with various animals.

Another in-state option is Delaware Valley University, which is very close to the New Jersey border in Pennsylvania. Their program offers a lot of practical experience along with theoretical knowledge.

Lastly, Centenary University could be another potential option. Though not as well-known for animal science as Rutgers, they do offer an equine focused Animal Health degree which falls under this category.

Be sure to explore these universities' websites and speak with representatives to gain a deeper understanding of the coursework, practical experience opportunities, and overall focus of their animal science programs. It would be particularly helpful to identify the areas of animal science that you are most interested in (such as animal health, livestock management, equine science, etc.) so that you can choose the program best tailored to your interests and post-graduation goals.
