Which colleges excel in government and political science studies?

I'm really into government and political science, but I'm having trouble finding the best colleges for these majors. Any recommendations for top schools with strong programs?

Sure, there are several universities known for their exemplary government and political science programs.

Harvard University, for instance, is particularly renowned, offering students countless opportunities to engage in political thought and action. It's Government Department covers several subfields including American Politics, Comparative Politics, International Relations, Political Economy, Political Theory, and Public Policy.

Princeton University also has a robust Department of Politics with courses that delve into American Politics, Comparative Politics, International Relations, Political Theory, Formal Theories and Quantitative Methods. Princeton also harbors the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, which provides a practical policy focus as well as research centers and programs.

Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. also offers a solid Government major and being in the heart of DC gives students immense opportunities for internships and hands-on experiences in politics. Similarly, George Washington University also benefits from its prime location for Political Science and International Affairs majors.

Stanford University and University of California, Berkeley have renowned Political Science departments with a diverse selection of courses and research opportunities.

Yale University has notable faculty in its Political Science department and students can hand pick courses that suit their particular interest area.

Remember, exploring each college's curriculum and connections to internships, think tanks, political institutions, and study abroad programs will also be crucial factors to consider. Your choice should align not just with the academic reputation of these programs, but also with how well they match your particular interests and career goals.
